Our Solid Foundation

“Parents are like shuttles on a loom. They join the threads of the past with threads of the future and leave their own bright patterns as they go.” - Fred Rogers

And a very bright pattern indeed was left in the fabric that makes up the life of the Founder and President of QHS, Audreya McLean. In 1998, her mother Peggy, a caregiver, met her most amazing patient to date. She was 92 years old, had a broken hip, and fluctuating health diminishing so badly that people gave up on her many times. But, the care, love, and patience she received from Audreya’s mother brought her back to life. She continued in care to live on for eleven (11) more years after that and eventually celebrated her 103rd birthday.

Many of us just hope to live long enough to see 88. Who would ever think that the love and attention of a caring nurse could help us to see 103? It is with this experience of the effect that the love of a nurse or aide can have on the lives of our aging that Audreya sought to create what we know today as Qualified Homecare Services.

QHS was established in 1999 to serve the growing need of South Florida’s aging and ailing population to find qualified, reliable and caring nurses to assist them with their everyday needs to maintain a quality of life. The passion and love embodied in the care that Audreya’s mother showed her patients is what she has worked to successfully instill in the fabric of QHS. You can be rest assured that you or your loved one will receive the utmost of qualified, reliable, and compassionate care.

QHS is licensed, insured and bonded.
